It is no secret by now that we are doing Weight Watchers this summer…or technically, since it is a lifestyle, not a diet, we are doing it forever.
The jury is still out on that one, thank you very much.
And when I say we are doing it, I really mean Lisa.
I just checked my food journal (i.e. the spiral notebook I got from the Target dollar bin), and the last day I wrote down my points was June 21st. So, you know, I am obviously taking it really seriously.
Just the other day, Lisa sent me an email, which said that for the first time since we started Weight Watchers she was going to use her extra points for the week because they were headed out to celebrate her hubby’s birthday.
I wrote back, “Good for you! They give you those points for a reason…so you can use them when you need them. Like yesterday, I needed mine and used all of them. Of course, it probably doesn’t help that I also used all of them all the day before that, too.”
See, my biggest problem is that I enjoy eating. It is a weakness, really. Nighttime comes, and I am all about some snacks. But, I am trying, y’all. Really, I am.
Trying to squeeze into my bathing suit.
Trying to button my shorts.
Trying to resist the pound bag of M&Ms staring at me from the pantry.
The only thing I have going for me these days is that I can resist the temptation to chase my Sno Caps with a large glass of wine. See, apparently, alcohol can really kill your diet. All those extra calories and what not. And probably the fact that after a few glasses, you forget you are on a diet to begin with!
So, here is my question for all of you Dose Peeps today.
Let’s say you have 500 extra calories for the day…
Would you rather eat them or drink them?
Cocktail or King Sized Snickers?
Beer or Ice Cream?
Wine or Cheesecake?
