We Have Friends In High Places…

Far be it from us to contradict Garth Brooks, but there is just no way around it.

We have friends who are doing some AMAZING things! We’d like to take this opportunity to brag about them if you don’t mind.

You’ve picked up your copy already, right?! If you have, you will see that the contributing authors’ section reads like a who’s who of The Dose of Reality favorites. Some of our very bestest peeps–the ones we read every. single. day.–are the writers of this fabulous book.

We even had the honor of writing a blurb for the inside of the book! You know what adds to the fun of reading fantastic essays by your talented friends? It’s getting a super secret advanced copy of their awesome book to read before anyone else! WOOT!!

Here’s what we had to say (officially):

Do you ever find yourself wondering if you are the only one who doesn’t react to all situations like June Cleaver? Are there days as a mother where you wish *you* could throw yourself to the ground and have a toddler-style tantrum because you.just.can’t.take.it.anymore? Well, so have the 30 hilarious bloggers of “The Mother of All Meltdowns”! These ladies tell it like it is.

Gone bonkers because your child didn’t appreciate the expensive, theme park vacation you booked to make their childhood complete? Check. Lost your cool because your child decided to play barbershop using her own head? Yep, they have been there. Ever punish your child for not eating the lunch you accidentally forgot to make him? They feel your pain.

We could not have enjoyed “The Mother of All Meltdowns” more…partly because we laughed so hard while reading, we could legitimately skip our ab workout for the week! Score! Every mom reading will come away feeling like she has 30 new girlfriends who just “get it”! All moms deserve the laughter and validation “The Mother of All Meltdowns” delivers!

Here’s what we have to say (unofficially):

Sunshine After the Storm: A Survival Guide for the Grieving Mother

Sunshine After the Storm

Not only do we have friends who bring the funny, we have friends who know how to open up about the most difficult times in their lives in order to help and comfort others.

This beautiful book is full of insight from moms who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or the loss of a child. They pour out their souls and give words of comfort and advice to people going through a pain they know all too well.

We wish the wonderful women of this lovely book had never had to face such losses, but the fact that they did and have now decided to share their stories to help other grieving moms, makes us so proud to know them. We hope every single parent who needs to read their words has the opportunity to do so, so they know they are not alone. You can get your copy her for yourself and/or someone you know right here.

Thank goodness women all go to the powder room together!! If they didn’t we may never have gotten one of the funniest takes on motherhood, marriage, and more that we’ve ever read. The ladies featured on the popular In The Powder Room blog are telling it like it is…and you know *that* is one of our favorite things.

These women are honest, hilarious, and just a little bit unorthodox. So basically, everything we seek out in a friend. Woot! But don’t take our word for it, go ahead and grab yourself a copy right here. You’ll find yourself wishing you could have a girls’ night out with these fabulously funny ladies from the first page to the last. (But you’ll have to stand in line behind us because we asked them first.)

So sorry again, Garth. We’ve got friends in really high places, and we’re pretty darn proud of them!  Here are their links again so you can check them all out!
